Quick writing advice series.
Consider this the advice I'd give myself when I was just getting started.
While I may not be published (yet) or represented (yet) I have drafted five copies of a book and created a daily writing habit that allowed me to do so. In my writing journey, I’ve gained a fair amount of experience in this pre-representation phase, where you are drafting, crafting, and doing it all over again so many times you want to give up until it’s ready for alpha reading, and then beta reading, and then you do the whole damn thing over again until eventually, that someone who reads it is an agent.
I want these to be quick bits of advice. I’ve read more than a few craft books or author memoirs where the point, when boiled down, amounts to a few sentences. So these will hit your inbox a few times a month and be a quick read.
I’ll cover topics such as starting a writing habit, ways of reframing your imposter syndrome lizard brain, and ways to learn and practice your craft in tandem with writing.
