I’m an absolute sucker for the big guy/grumpy old man trope. Give me a big softy who protects himself with a hard outer shell. Give me a silent, gruff anti-hero who helps people but won’t make a big deal about it. Give me Geralt, give me Mando, give. me. Joel. Traumatized middle-aged men make the best anti-heroes, I don’t know what to tell you.
